- Concordia University Texas Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery Invites Community to the Third Annual Technology Fair WHO: The Concordia University Texas student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) invites the community to attend the third annual Technology Fair. The event will include informative presentations by representatives of local technology firms, including:· IBM: World Community Grid and Smarter Planet (4:30 to 5 p.m.)· Apple: Innovation, Integration and Investment (5 to 5:30 p.m.)· Joe Celko, database/SQL expert: Building IT Job Skills for the Future (5:30 to 6 p.m.)· Sony Online Entertainment: Creating Virtual Worlds (6 to 7 p.m.)· Dell: Global Innovations (7 to 7:30 p.m.) WHAT: Activities during the Technology Fair will include: · Informative presentations· Software demonstrations · Entertaining games· Eatman’s vintage computer collection· Door prizes and raffles· Free photos taken at Photo Booth · Snacks and refreshments WHEN: Wednesday, April 1, 2009 4 to 8 p.m. WHERE: Concordia University Texas Building D 11400 Concordia University Drive Austin, TX 78726 COST: Admittance is free.
